About the LBC

The Leonard Bernstein Center for Artful Learning at Gettysburg College has the challenging responsibility of bringing national attention to important issues such as the value of music and arts education and preserving our rich cultural legacy for future generations.

The Center is dedicated to engaging students of all ages through music and arts-based education programs. Gettysburg College strives to cultivate understanding, appreciation and advancement of the arts across the country through the Leonard Bernstein Center's Artful LearningTM School Reform Model.

By placing the arts at the center of learning, the Center helps schools and communities achieve educational excellence by promoting our rich cultural legacy as a catalyst for lifelong learning.

The Leonard Bernstein Center for Artful Learning at Gettysburg College is located on the campus of Gettysburg College in historic Gettysburg, Pa.

The Center is housed in Schmucker Hall and shares a home with the College's Art Galley as well as the Sunderman Conservatory of Music.
